Memorial Weekend

Each year we go to the cemetery for services on Memorial Day. Both of Elliott's parents play a large role in the activities of the morning. Lauren is a Jr. Auxiliary member so she gets to participate as well.

Then we all go to the farm for a huge lunch and lots of play time for the kiddos. It is a lot of fun with all 5 kids running around.

Here are the Jr. Auxiliary members that helped with the program.

Here is Lauren & Grandma giving the opening prayer.

Here is Andrew and his great uncle Mike. Both of my kiddos love this guy! :)

It was really nice to see him and a couple other family members that we don't get to see very often. We don't live all that far away but it seems our trips home are getting fewer and fewer each year.

Program

Lauren had a great time at her program. The theme was Nursery Rhyme - A Year in Review. Lauren was a spider and got to come to the front of the stage and sing Itsy Bitsy Spider with a couple other classmates. Then it was off to the gym for punch and cookies.

All of her grandparents made the trip down for the program. She was so excited that everyone was coming to see her! Someday, she will realize they were all on the road four times as long as her program and really appreciate it. Andrew enjoyed the program also. . . any time there was a second of silence you could hear him asking, "Done?" The pew in front of us thought he was pretty funny.

Lauren's Last Day of Preschool

Here is Lauren with her teachers from this past year. It sure doesn't seem like the school year can be over already. Tonight, we will be attending her Completion Progam. I'm sure I'll have more pictures to post!

Happy Mother's Day

My present from Lauren that she made a preschool.

And the card that she made for me a preschool.

Her reason for loving me cracked me up! But when I thought about it, that is something that truly came from the bottom of her heart. I would love to see her say because I cared for and loved her unconditionally but that isn't top on a 3 yr old's list. Her favorite food . . . now that is important!

Baby Lovin'

Andrew has taken a liking to this baby. He likes to sit in the chair and rock her but he really likes it if you sit with him and rock the both of them. He is such a snugly little guy when he wakes up from his nap . . .hence, the PJ pants. He is growing up too fast and I know that my snugly days are numbered so I'm spending a lot of time in the chair with him right now.

My Toe

No running in the house! I must utter those words at least 5 times a day but did it stop me from running. Nope!

The phone rang at nap time yesterday and I was running to get it before it woke Andrew up. Some how I managed to kick the kitchen cabinet on my way by. I was in pain and really ticked off when I saw who it was so I can only imagine what I must have sounded like on the phone! So lesson learned . . . carry the phone with you at nap time. :)

Peeping Toms

I'm sure that all of you with small children will not need an explanation of this picture.

For the rest of you, this is what I see each time I head to the bathroom to potty. I'm guaranteed to have one if not two children following me down the hallway. On the rare occasion, they stay outside the door, I see little fingers under the door.

Andrew is still sitting on the potty a couple times a day and has been going with increasing frequency. Though, sometimes he is standing beside the potty instead of sitting on it when he lets it rip!
