Lauren got these GIANT Smarties in her Halloween basket from Grandma Michell and we've had one tucked away for a later date. We dug it out this past week and she was in heaven. She loves Smarties!! You would have thought she won the lottery. She still has two candies from this package to eat at supper tonight.

Our week in recap
Lauren had preschool two days this week. Her teachers are giving her glowing reports. Now, if we could only get her to talk to them. She really takes the 'no talking' rule to heart. She'll respond appropriately when asked a question but doesn't offer up much else. I guess we should be happy she isn't getting in trouble for being disruptive. From my volunteer time in her classroom, I know there are a couple kids who can't keep quiet! :)
Andrew's head has had a tough week. He's fallen into the corner of the wall twice this week. Almost in the same spot. The longer one was the first one and the short one the second time. He didn't cry very long either time and quickly back up to full speed. I'm sure glad he's got a hard head like mommy!
He did have a Parents as Teachers evaluation and got good reports there. He only has two items left to check off the 24 month milestone chart. Surely, in the next 6 months we can get those accomplished.
Many of you know that I love to shop. But I really love to shop for cheap. I've been into the whole coupon scene for a little over a year now and this week I had my best shopping trip yet. You'll see towards the middle of the receipt it show 101% savings. Woo Hoo!!

What did I buy you ask?? I got 5 bags of Green Giant Steamer Veggies, a box of Quaker instant oatmeal, a bag of Chex mix and 3 bags of Kraft shredded cheese. Some of my coupons gave me an overage on the products, thus giving me over a 100% savings. I know most people are annoyed by coupons but it give me an outlet to use some brain power. Working up deals using that weeks sale items and the coupon available takes some thinking and planning. I LOVE being a stay-at-home mom but it doesn't give me the chance to 'crunch some numbers' and couponing does.
Speaking of 'crunching numbers', our taxes are completed and sent off to the IRS. Yippee! I really enjoy doing our taxes, crazy I know! Maybe someday I'll get back into the field . . .

Christmas # 5 w/ Grandma & Grandpa Harris
New food for her kitchen.

New books to read.

New books to read.
Andrew got a new tractor. In all he got 4 new tractors for Christmas. We've decided that everyone must think that he is all boy or just wanted to be sure that he doesn't have to play with his older sister's girly toys. Andrew also got a new farm set so the tractors have some place to work.
In all, our children (and us) were greatly blessed this Christmas season. We kindly thank each and every one of you that thought of us. Your love and friendship greatly enriches our lives.
Christmas # 4 w/ Grandma & Grandpa Figgins
Lauren got a new Vtech computer and is enjoying it very much. But if you ask her what her favorite present of the year was, she'll tell you "bubble soap". Or better known as bubble bath. I guess we should be happy that she is that easy to please.
Andrew got a new suitcase. We are so excited about this. He & Lauren fight over who is going to pull her suitcase down the hallway at Grandma's house so now that they each have one, it should alleviate some bickering.
Christmas # 3 w/ Great Grandma Berniece
