Our Weekend

Here is what our weekend consisted of! Lauren has had a little cold for a couple of days but when she got up on Saturday morning things were much worse. She was having some difficulty breathing and was just feeling plain crummy. So, it was off to the doctor for us. Thankfully, they are open on Saturday mornings! The nurse took one look at her and put her on an oxygen monitor. That showed her levels at 90%. Not good, anything in the 80's would have sent us directly to the hospital. When the doctor came in she gave her a breathing treatment and sent us for chest x-rays to rule out pneumonia. If her levels were not better by the time we were done with the x-ray then she would be admitted to the hospital. . . just what I wanted to here. Oh, did I forget to mention that she was throwing up intermittently as well. Yep, fun times. We were just coming out of the bathroom when the radiologist came for us so I told him he better hurry! The x-ray was pretty easy and then we rushed back to the doctor's office. When we got back, Lauren's level has improved a little bit so we got to come home with our very own breathing machine. She has been having treatments every 4 hours since . . . yes, we do have to wake her in the night . . . and is improving.
